Our Philosophy

At Inasmuch House, we operate from an Intersectional Feminist Framework, centering the safety and well-being of women, non-binary people, and children.

Our priority is to create a physically and emotionally safe environment where survivors of violence, abuse, and homelessness feel respected, supported, and empowered.

We take a trauma-informed approach, recognizing the whole person and the unique circumstances each individual brings.

We live out this philosophy through:

  • Inclusive, client-centered support

  • Compassion and non-judgment

  • Sharing information and resources

  • Empowerment and encouragement

  • Building community and connections

  • Creating collaborative relationships

This approach allows us to walk alongside individuals as they take steps toward safety, healing, and independence.
