Advocacy and System Change
At Mission Services, our work extends beyond providing direct support to families and individuals. We are deeply committed to advocating for system-level change in Hamilton and across Ontario. By raising awareness, challenging stigma, educating the public, and lobbying for meaningful policy reform, we strive to address the root causes of poverty, homelessness, addiction, and violence.
We proudly participate in awareness campaigns such as Wrapped in Courage and Recovery Awareness Month, which amplify the voices of those we serve and highlight the urgent need for equity and compassion in our communities.
Our staff are also actively engaged in boards, committees, and working groups alongside community partners, government representatives, and public service providers. Through this collaboration, we work to influence and improve the systems that directly affect the lives of community members.
