Empowering Recovery
Mission Services’ addiction programs empower men and women to live healthy, fulfilling lives while working toward recovery.
Addiction touches friends, coworkers, families, loved ones, and entire communities. It can be one of the hardest challenges a person will ever face. And when combined with unemployment, poverty, or homelessness, recovery can feel almost impossible.
But Recovery Is Possible
At Mission Services, we believe in the strength and resilience of every person.
Our caring, professional staff walk alongside each client, offering support across a continuum of care. Together, we help individuals:
Access safe and stable housing
Work toward meaningful employment goals
Strengthen family and social relationships
Build confidence and reclaim dignity
With compassion and respect, we support people in finding a path to recovery — and a future filled with hope.
Three Things That Make Our Addiction Programs Unique
1. Community Treatment
Our programs help people achieve recovery goals while living and working in the community. Most are outpatient, with flexible day and evening hours designed to support those who need to continue working while pursuing recovery.
2. Harm Reduction Supports
Dedicated Harm Reduction Support Workers provide onsite education and support for individuals who want to make changes around their substance use.
3. Housing Supports
Stable housing is essential for recovery. We provide addiction and mental health support, intensive case management, and housing assistance for male-identifying individuals who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
“From the deepest recesses of my soul, thank you so much. I’ve been sober for 22 months, and this is as good as life gets.”
— Jamey, Program Participant

Partners in Recovery
Family and friends play a vital role in the recovery journey. This program helps loved ones learn about addiction and recovery, offering tools to provide caring, informed, and compassionate support.
Aftercare
Aftercare supports those already in recovery. Group sessions focus on relapse prevention, maintaining goals, and fostering continued personal growth.
Harm Reduction Support Service
Mission Services provides harm reduction supports within emergency shelters and drop-in centers.
Harm Reduction Workers are onsite to:
Offer support, education, and information about safer substance use
Connect people to community resources for addiction, housing, mental health, and physical health needs
Housing Supports
Addiction Supportive Housing (ASH)
Our ASH team provides case management and housing supports to men 19+ who are experiencing problematic substance use and are homeless or at risk.
The program is client-driven and goal-directed, meeting individuals where they’re at in their recovery journey. Through long-term housing, life skills training, and intensive case management, ASH helps participants move toward independence and lasting recovery.
Our Philosophy
At Addiction Services, we offer hope and support to men, women, and families affected by addiction. Our programs are evidence-based and flexible, designed to meet people wherever they are on their journey to recovery.
With a trauma-informed approach, we seek to understand the whole person who comes to us for support. We work alongside individuals to help them reach their goals, build skills, and strengthen their capacity for lasting change.
Guided by a strengths-based, holistic, and person-centred philosophy, we meet each person with compassion, empathy, and dignity. Above all, we believe that every individual has the ability to make positive changes and create a healthier, more hopeful future.
